Get Your QuoteWhat is our purely cremation package/direct cremation?
At A.J. Sellman, we offer a purely cremation package, also known as direct cremation. This involves us taking your loved one directly to the crematorium with no formal ceremony. Normally no family or friends are present – though this is optional.
Why use our family for a direct cremation?
- We're local – speak face-to-face, not with a call centre.
- Being local keeps your loved one close to home – unlike internet-based services that may be hundreds of miles away.
- Chapel of Rest visits are available on request.
- Cremations take place locally at Cannock Chase or Mercia Forest.
- We play music and say words of committal – every service is treated with dignity and care.
- Choose the music, request a livestream, and receive regular updates.
- You may choose the date and be present at the crematorium if you wish.
- All funerals are conducted with a hearse, attended or not - dignity and respect are important to us.
- Cremated remains are in our care within days – we can also advise on interments, plaques, urns, jewellery and more.
- Bereavement support is available through our partner, When Life Changes.
- Visit our Book of Remembrance.
